Meet our Founder…

     Mark Brezzell is an educator, health coach, and dynamic speaker with over 30 years of experience in clinical care and medical affairs. A former Cardiovascular Perfusionist at Toledo Hospital, he participated in over 2,000 open-heart surgeries, specializing in blood salvage and heart failure support via heart assist devices.

Mark trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital, School of Perfusion Sciences, with research focus around cerebral blood flow research and artificial blood use in cardiac surgery, and was the first African American graduate of the program. He also completed a three-year internship in Genetic Toxicology at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy, co-authoring multiple publications in cancer research.

As a Type 1 diabetic of 26 years, Mark combines his clinical expertise with lived experience to educate and inspire. Over two decades, he has become a trusted advisor and advocate, raising awareness about diabetes and empowering individuals and communities to take charge of their health.

    I am our Administrator and Marketing Manager. I bring strong communication skills and a passion for connecting with others through social media. Using digital platforms to network I build relationships, raise awareness, and negotiate deals while combining my organizational expertise with creative marketing strategies to support growth and engagement.
