Meet our Founder…
Mark Brezzell is an educator, executive health coach, and dynamic keynote speaker with more than 30 years of combined experience spanning frontline clinical medicine and global medical affairs leadership.
A former Cardiovascular Perfusionist at Toledo Hospital, Mark played a critical role in more than 2,000 open-heart surgeries, specializing in advanced blood conservation strategies and mechanical circulatory support for patients in heart failure requiring ventricular assist devices. His work placed him at the epicenter of life-saving innovation — where precision, performance under pressure, and clinical excellence were non-negotiable.
Today, Mark translates that high-stakes operating room experience into powerful insights on executive health, stress physiology, diabetes management, and leadership resilience. Blending clinical credibility with lived experience, he equips individuals and organizations to understand the vascular impact of stress, optimize performance, and build sustainable wellness strategies that protect both people and productivity.
His voice bridges medicine, industry, and advocacy — delivering not just inspiration, but actionable transformation.
Mark trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital, School of Perfusion Sciences, with research focus around cerebral blood flow research and artificial blood use in cardiac surgery, and was the first African American graduate of the program. He also completed a three-year internship in Genetic Toxicology at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy, co-authoring multiple publications in cancer research.
As a Type 1 diabetic of 26 years, Mark combines his clinical expertise with lived experience to educate and inspire. Over two decades, he has become a trusted advisor and advocate, raising awareness about diabetes and empowering individuals and communities to take charge of their health.
